For Fall/Winter 2019/20, BRACHMANN is offering a playfully purist collection of delicate strength, filigree silhouettes and minimalist opulence for women and men.

With a clear handwriting inspired by architecture, the collection explores the tensions between less is more and more is more, purism and abundance, functional menswear and elegant womens wear, delicate summery transparency, and a strong wintry structure.

With details such as sculptural sleeves, pleats, rounded raglan sleeves and interpenetrating layers, the silhouette of the classics is effortlessly modernized and casually emancipated from the formal. The clean cuts confer an architectural expression to the collection that is further emphasized by layering, twisted grain lines and subtle color contrasts. The women’s collection is inspired by the tartness of the menswear style, refined with feminine details and organic shapes, while the menswear gets a light hearted twist through more subtle details. Relying exclusively on exquisite fabrics made of natural fibers, the collection uses cotton for shirts, blouses, dresses and trench coats, while drawing on corduroy, merino wool and silk-wool blends for jackets, blazers, and suits as well as on virgin wool, cashmere-wool and mohair-wool blends for coats. The collection’s colour palette ranges from cooler shades of green and blue to shades of grey to warmer shades of brown, while warm gold and rusty red set contrapoints.
