Be Cool Be Nice® Debuts Book With Snapchat’s First-Ever Book Collaboration

Be Cool Be Nice, the global anti-cyberbullying movement supported by fashion heavyweights Kendall Jenner, Pat McGrath, Marc Jacobs, Burberry and more, releases hardcover book in Snapchat’s first-ever book partnership

BE COOL BE NICE® (BCBN), the social good movement that aims to combat cyberbullying, releasing a hardcover book that spreads their message in a technologically interactive way. Custom filters were developed for this first-ever book collaboration by Snapchat, while a special BCBN app unlocks various fun and exciting features, to continue inspiring people with timeless values such as courtesy, kindness, and civility in a refreshing, relatable, and engaging manner.

Launched last year with Kendall Jenner and Willow Smith in Garage Magazine’s Fall/Winter ‘16 issue, BCBN uses a  series of illustrations and prose from a range of notable contributors such Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Lenny Kravitz, and Pat McGrath, to encourage positive and proactive social media use. Since launching, the simple, yet strong message has taken the world by storm, receiving support and encouragement from fashion elites of all ages, such as Adriana Lima, Cara Delevingne, Joan Smalls, Gigi Hadid, Donatella Versace, and Kaia Gerber, among others.

Part unique journal, part friend, the BCBN book is as beneficial as it is beautiful. Through memorable, rhythmic prose, it delivers cool reminders to be kinder via a host of original characters and innovative designs from Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Marc Newson, Pat McGrath, Dsquared2, Emilio Pucci, and many more. The book also features fun, thought-provoking activities and quizzes encouraging readers to reflect, learn, and get positively creative, on- or offline. Every page is a work of art, curated by the BCBN design team with artistic direction from Kravitz Design, an interior and product design firm helmed by the Grammy Award-winning rock star Lenny Kravitz, and Chaos Fashion (Charlotte Stockdale & Katie Lyall), the uber-stylists who bring their fresh, cutting-edge style to a score of luxury brands, such as Fendi.

The book is accompanied by an interactive app (iTunes/App Store and Google Play for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices) to unlock additional content, and is the first and only book to feature a trigger on the front cover to reveal two exclusive Snapchat x BCBN lenses.

Influential celebrities such as Kylie Minogue, Lenny Kravitz, Zoë Kravitz, Kendall Jenner, Willow Smith, and Jaden Smith are just some of the people who have supported the movement since it launched, garnering over a billion media impressions...and rising.

The Be Cool Be Nice book and movement were fashioned as an antidote to bullying by the creative team behind global hits for music sensations Lenny Kravitz, Chaka Khan, Vanessa Paradis, and Kylie Minogue, among others. It began simply with inventive lyrical verses and mnemonics as a way to help build one teen's self-esteem and with the help of some of the world's coolest and nicest creative stars and a little influence from Aesop’s Fables, voilà, Be Cool Be Nice was born. The humble message has garnered amazing creative support from some of today’s most influential artists and designers, and from international organizations like the House of Lords and the United Nations:
