Be Cool Be Nice is more than a book...it is a captivating, exhilarating experience that will entice, engage, and enchant from cover to cover...it will take the reader far beyond the page and the screen, igniting imagination and creativity, and encouraging empathy because kindness is always in style. —Be Cool Be Nice More about Be Cool Be Nice The Be Cool Be Nice book and movement were fashioned as an antidote to bullying by the creative team behind global hits for music sensations Lenny Kravitz, Chaka Khan, Vanessa Paradis, and Kylie Minogue, among others. It began simply with inventive lyrical verses and mnemonics as a way to help build one teen's self-esteem and with the help of some of the world's coolest and nicest creative stars and a little influence from Aesop’s Fables, voilà, Be Cool Be Nice was born. The humble message has garnered amazing creative support from some of today’s most influential artists and designers, and from international organizations like the House of Lords and the United Nations: “The Be Cool Be Nice book reminds us all that each and every one of us must play our part to create a more just society,” said Baroness Amos, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs. “The message is simple, the impact profound.” “It’s cool to be cool and it’s nice to be nice. So, be cool be nice!” said musician Kylie Minogue of the project. “I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some of the most amazing and talented people all over the world and the one thing they all have in common are these two qualities. Kindness never goes out of style and the beautiful lyricism of the Be Cool Be Nice book is a wonderful reminder of this.” Design Contributors to BCBN: Burberry, Chaos Fashion, Dsquared2, Emilio Pucci, Henry Holland, Lenny Kravitz, Marc Jacobs, Marc Newson, Mary Katrantzou, Neil Barrett, Pat McGrath, Hattie Stewart, Katie Grand, Arianne Phillips & Jamie “Gorillaz” Hewlett, Francesca Amfitheatrof, Remi Paringaux, Daniella Helayel, Conran TCS, Byredo, Al MacCuish and the Sunshine Company ...
