New update pic of my road to a lighter me. I've been around 200 for the entire last year and after a lot of dancing and lifting at that weight I wanted to see what it would feel like, performance wise, to change it up. Could I keep my strength, or even surpass it, with less weight on my body? I want to know how it feels to dance, or run, row, lift, climb, hike, swim or tumble... but all 20-25 lbs lighter. And the biggest task is keeping the aesthetics in play. Making sure that I never lose too much size in one muscle group.
My body is my sculpture. I treat it with respect and honor what it allows me to do everyday. The more I've studied, the more I've come to understand how vast and beautiful this collection of cells is. A day should never pass where we don't take true stock of how intricate of a puzzle the human body is, and how, with proper training and maintenance, it can help us achieve great things.
My first trainer and now close friend Mike Strevel in NYC once said to me. "The body is the purest form of evolution possible. Daily, you show it what it needs to survive, and thats what it develops" I had never looked at it like that before. Now I see, and now I act.
