So Im not sure how many people know about this but if you've ever seen the movie "Pumping Iron" then you know that both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbo both took ballet class to improve their onstage presence. The thing that many people do not take into account though is how much ballet can influence something even more important. Body Awareness.
Many people train for years as "weightlifters" and still have little to no clue what is going on with their bodies during those movements. Even Arnold and Franco had a rough time understanding the positions the teacher was trying to show them during filming.
The basic idea is that the human body is so much more capable if we give it a larger frame of reference. The more ways we can expose the body to movement, the larger the amount of knowledge we can pull from in our area of expertise. I can honestly say that without a doubt I am a better athlete due to my time spent learning the mechanics of my body through dance. Considering that mobility is one of the largest issues most athletes and especially bodybuilders face, it'd be wise for all of them to take a dance class every once in a while.
So while Im fairly biased, I'll leave you with this thought. To add a little grace and technique to your repertoire.. might just be the thing you need to take your body to the next level.
