During my visit to America this spring, I based myself in LA mainly, as I would like to be more familiar with the area and people here, considering my long-term goals besides modeling is picking up acting. I also work with a couple of clothing stores at the moment, introducing my apparel, but let that be enough for now ;) I also have quite a few photo shoots and events planned for the next few weeks, and I will keep you all updated on them! ;-)
In order to maintain a top conditioning, I need to put a tremendous amount of effort into my diet. Currently I do not exceed 2000 calories daily, which is quite challenging at 215 pounds, and at just 20. Those calories mainly come from protein and carbs. I divide my daily carb intake between 3 meals. Once I am done doing my morning cardio on an empty stomach, I consume 1/3 of my daily carb intake with some fast acting protein to replenish the fully depleted glycogen stores. I always make sure to also sip on some BCAAs and other essential amino acids during my fasted stages, so that I can minimize the level of muscle breakdown. I usually have another carb meal next, which is my pre-workout meal, and I also consume another 1/3 of my daily carb intake with my post-workout meal. For the rest of the night I usually switch carbohydrates to healthy fats and I make sure to get my greens in too.
My training regiment at this point is quite rigorous. Looking to be as toned and fit as ever, I need to burn more calories than I consume. Therefore my daily training comes out to about 4 hours daily divided up into two parts. I take 1 full rest day off each week. I mainly train at Gold’s Gym Venice, which became my second home already. The vibe in there is just so intense, that no matter how bad your day is, you will still find all the motivation there.
I have a coach who keeps me on track also, so I go see him a couple of times a week. It’s so important to have someone behind you, who does not only support you by some means, but keeps you on the right track. I advise that you also hire a professional whether you are looking to be part of the fitness industry, or would just like to establish a healthy lifestyle.
